Connect Coimbatore 2009   “Innovative ICT for World-Class Enterprises” : 27 February 2009 : Coimbatore

As India becomes more and more a global playground, companies, organizations and enterprises are faced with the need to constantly upgrade themselves in all spheres and it would become obvious over a period of time that the ones that were innovative in thought and action certainly move up fast and take the first mover advantage. CII Coimbatore Zone has been organising a series of “Connect Coimbatore” Conferences over the last 8 years and each of these events have had a theme that was the need of the hour and the one that would actually change the paradigm. The theme for “Connect Coimbatore 2009” scheduled for 27 February, 2009 is “Innovative ICT for World-Class Enterprises”. This theme reflects the need for organization to use more of IT into their business to be successful and at the same time, innovatively reduce cost in this period of market slowdown worldwide. It also reflects the need for the IT companies to constantly innovate to become a more global player from presently being the fastest growing market in Asia Pacific Region.

Connect Coimbatore 2009 will have separate sessions dedicated to ‘Cost Effective ICT’, ‘Enablers for Growth’ and ‘Emerging Opportunities’. The session on Cost Effective ICT will focus on ways to deliver incremental short-term benefits so the longer term project funds itself and delivers ongoing business value as well. The session on Enablers for Growth will focus on ‘Next’ practices to harness technologies like the Internet and web services are creating new sources of competitive advantages. The session on Emerging Opportunities will focus on the innovations that we need to adopt to transform our existing and future talent to succeed in the global service economy.
