Mr P W C Davidar IAS, Principal Secretary - Department of Information Technology, Government of Tamil Nadu

P.W.C. DAVIDAR, I.A.S entered the Indian Administrative Service in 1986 and is presently the Principal Secretary of Information Technology, Government of Tamil Nadu and an Election Commission Observer on behalf of Election Commission of India in Tripura, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

He was the Commissioner - Madurai Corporation; Collector - Vellore District; Special Officer - Bonded Labour Abolition; Member Secretary - Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu; Director - Handlooms and Textiles; Special Secretary - Health & Family Welfare Department; and Principal Secretary, Energy Department.

After schooling in the Madras Christian College School, he completed his degree in Commerce (B.Com) and his Post-graduation in Public Administration from the Madras Christian College. He completed MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies from Netherlands. He also worked as Assistant Professor in Political Science in Madras Christian College for 5 years.
