Gaurav Mishra, CEO, Social 20: 20
Gaurav Mishra is the co-founder of 20:20 Web Tech (www.2020webtech.com), which provides social media analytics services for international clients, by using a mix of machine and human analysis. Prior to this he has led a research on social media and mobile use in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) as the 2008-09 Yahoo! Fellow in Residence at Georgetown University and taught a graduate course at Georgetown University on "Social Media in Business, Civil Society and Government" in Spring 2009.
He has also managed national level sales and marketing, and developed traditional and digital marketing programs, for Indica, as Assistant General Manager (Brand Head Indica) at Tata Motors. A user generated ad contest for Indica Xeta, a graphic novel based launch micro-site for Indica Vista, and an opt-in branded SMS channel with MyToday are three interesting examples of digital initiatives he started. In addition to this he has managed sales for the Tata Motors car range first in the Eastern region and then in the Western region of India.
He is the co-founder of Vote Report India (www.votereport.in), a collaborative platform to enable Indian citizens to track election irregularities and monitor the performance of elected officials at national, state and local levels, built on the Ushahidi platform and MobiChange (www.mobichange.org), a project that aims to develop an open-source, multi-lingual mobile social networking platform, built entirely on SMS.
