Coimbatore Hi-Tech Infrastructure Private Limited (CHIL) is the first private Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the state of Tamil Nadu at Keernatham, 12Km from Coimbatore. The CHIL SEZ is among the first SEZs to be approved & notified by the Central Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu. A total land extent of approximately 300 acres has been acquired by CHIL out of which 150 acres has been earmarked for the IT / ITES sector specific SEZ.

Coimbatore Hi-Tec Infrastructure Private Limited (CHIL) is part of the US $ 500 Million KG Group of Companies that has diverse interests in Information Technology, Textiles, Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, Health Care, Education, Travel, and Entertainment. CHIL is headquartered at Coimbatore, South India, the largest industrial city in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Having successfully delivered over 1 million sq ft of IT office space, CHIL is looking to create a new-age integrated township and communities that will bring about a lifestyle change in Coimbatore. This will include state of the art IT / ITES office space, built to suit sites, built to suit facilities, apartments, hotels, shopping complexes, landscaped parks, district services & amenities. The total project size is pegged at close to 2000 crores.

The CHIL SEZ will be co-located next to the KGISL Campus, a 50-acre high-tech IT Park, which has contributed more than 35% of all software exports from Coimbatore since the year 2000. The KGISL Campus is already home to Robert Bosch India, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Perot Systems India, SPi Technologies, KG Information Systems Private Limited and KGHirotec Engineering Services.
