Mr Suresh Sambandam, Founder & CEO, OrangeScape

Mr Suresh Sambandam is the Founder and CEO of OrangeScape. On this blog, he primarily talks about technology related to cloud computing and areas around it.

After an initial entrepreneurial stint of 3 Yrs at the age of 19 in his home town Cuddalore, he went on to work at Hewlett-Packard at Bangalore for close to 4 years. He was part of the team which built a sophisticated rule engine (Talarian’s RTIE – real time inference engine) based ‘Fraud Detection System’ for TACS Mobile Phone Networks for Vodafone

He later joined Selectica as software analyst and rose to a senior position as Director of Engineering for the e-Insurance product division, in a span of 3.5 years. The e-Insurance division and its products were later acquired by Accenture.

In the technology side, he worked in the areas of software architecture for complex enterprise applications, inference engines, configuration engines, rule-based computing & enterprise middleware. He has multiple patents (applied), one in each of the last 3 organizations he worked.

He is passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, innovation, startups and spends significant amount of personal time in the start-up ecosystem in Chennai. He is a member of the National Council for Emerging Companies Forum and a core committee member of Product Forum at NASSCOM.

He also mentors budding entrepreneurs at the Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay), E-Cell and speaks at various industry forums & academic institutions on on “Cloud Computing”
