He has varied experience in the design and Manufacture of various Electronic/ Computer Systems. He has designed India's First Auto ranging Digital Multi meter, He has extensive design experience in both Analog and Micro Processor based system design. He has obtained a Patent for Micro Processor based Ticketing Machine. He has applied for Patent for a “Versatile Appliance for Internet Access”.

He is the past Chairman CII (Coimbatore Zone), and is actively involved in skills development initiative. He is a Member of the academic advisory committees of some of the leading educational Institutions in the Coimbatore region and takes interest in bridging the gap between Industry and academic institutions. He is the Managing Director of AGT Electronics Ltd, which has developed Point of Sale equipments and Biometric ATMs. He has also has built a modern IT Business park.

Mr Thangaraj is the founder President of Bharathiya School of Management that provides courses to transform people and to make them realize their true potential. BSM is a partner Institution of Bharathiar University and is an Academic Alliance partner of Microsoft and SAP for offering their range of ERP solutions. BSM has entered in to strategic partnerships with some of the leading US universities to offer concurrent industry specific courses to improve employability of Engineering and management students.

His interests are in the areas of Embedded Systems, Internet Appliances & Human Resource Development

He is passionate about study of Yoga / ancient literature and their usefulness in shaping up a balanced personality.
